The idea of a piggy bank originated in medieval Europe—so what prompted the Native people of South America to create their own versions? In this FREE hands-on workshop tomorrow, Thursday, May 24th from 5:00-6:30 PM, kids ages 8 and up check out the piggy banks on display in National Museum of the American Indian's Indigenous Motivations exhibit, then use mixed media on pre-fab banks to design their own unique creations. FREE. Advance registration is required. 212.514.3716. See here for the online exhibition.
