The Egg Rolls and Egg Creams Festival is an all-day family program on Sunday, June 3 from 12 noon-4:00 PM celebrating the cultures that make the Lower East Side unique - from the stories and crafts of the Eastern European Jews who built the Eldridge Street Synagogue to the customs and traditions of the Chinese immigrants who followed. Enjoy hands-on demonstrations of calligraphy and other art forms, Yiddish and Chinese storytelling, and traditional foods. Sample klezmer music, Chinese opera and acrobatics, language lessons, folk art demos, and more! More info. The Eldridge Street Project is located at 12 Eldridge Street, between Canal and Division Streets.
