Closing Soon – Spiders: Alive!

Part of Spider-Man Week Celebration!

Spiders: Alive!, a fascinating weeklong live-animal exhibit (now through May 6) of these amazing arachnids, is open in the newly renovated Grand Gallery at the American Museum of Natural History. The exhibit coincides with the one-week celebration leading up to Spider-Man 3, the web-slinging, action-adventure movie premiering on May 4.

Featuring a variety of your favorite friendly neighborhood spiders (ok, maybe not in your neighborhood), the exhibit will reveal how they survive, showcase the diversity of spiders around the world, and examine the differences between eight-legged arachnids and their cousins, the six-legged insects. There will be children's activity tables featuring spider-themed origami in the exhibit and microscopes will be available to examine spider anatomy in the Discovery Room.
