Jon Leizman reports that the RGA Global All-Stars basketball team has continued its success after winning the Manhattan Charter School Fifth+Sixth Grade Basketball Championship! In non-league contests against mostly older players, Ross posted a 2-1 record, bringing their season record to 9-1. They beat PS/IS 217 6th+7th grade team 38-29, lost their first game of the year in a very exciting match to 104/Baruch 6th+7th grade team 36-31, and beat the Lab School 47-37. The spring league starts at the end of April and although it does not have the prominence of the primary basketball winter league, the Global All-Stars will continue to try to represent RGA with distinction.
Other notes: RGA's first soccer team has begun to practice and will play its first match in May! We are also trying to establish a track team, and have our step team enter a competition or exhibition! More details to follow. (Thanks, Jon!)
