Chandra Osborne yesterday submitted her resignation from her position as Vice President (Middle School) of the Parents Association. Her daughter will be moving on to a different school. In a special election at the general Parents Association meeting held this morning, Richard Kixmiller, parent of a 6B student, was unanimously voted in as Vice President (Middle School).
The Parents Association wishes to expresses its tremendous gratitude to Chandra for the many and vast ways she contributed to the school community—including serving with composure and grace as chair of many parent meetings; rounding up NYU volunteers (often last-minute!) for school events; researching PA fundraising opportunities; and for being a consistently proactive participant in all parent-led efforts to make our children's educational environment the best that it can be. As Parent Trustee Brenda Shrobe indicated at this morning's meeting, the PA Executive Board and entire parent community extend a HUGE, heartfelt thank-you to Chandra for all of her energy, hard work and friendship. Chandra, you will be very much missed!!
