Central Park Zoo Earth Day Party, Sunday, April 22

You don’t have to leave New York City to save tamarin monkeys in South America or polar bears in the Arctic! Through games, zookeeper chats, live theater, and other special activities, find out what you can do to save wildlife and wild places right from home.

To join the Central Park Zoo in its commitment to saving wild places, bring along your old cell phones to recycle in EcoCell bins. Your contribution will help reduce the demand for Coltan, an element required in cell phone battery manufacture. Coltan is mined in Congo’s forests, which are home to many endangered wildlife species that need our protection.
