Nominations for officers of the Parents Association close at NOON TODAY!
Election/Voting: Will take place on Thursday, June 21, from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM and from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Candidates are encouraged to be present. You must be present to vote.
Term of office: July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008.
Number of positions available:
Per the bylaws, 4 positions must be filled
Per the bylaws, 3 others may be filled as indicated below.
Positions and general duties (see bylaws for specific duties):
President (must) Heads association & presides at meetings
Co-Presidents (may) Shares president’s responsibilities
Vice President # 1 (must) Assist president & performs duties in absence
Vice President # 2 (may) Assist president & performs duties in absence
Secretary # 1 (must) Maintains all official records, prepares meeting minutes
Secretary # 2 (may) Shares responsibilities of the secretary
Treasurer (must) Conducts & responsible for all financial affairs
Candidates: Candidates may run as individuals or on a slate with others. Co-presidents must run with a candidate of their choice. Nominating: You may nominate yourself or another (only if you have their permission) by completely filling out the below form and emailing it or giving it to a member of the nominating committee or to parent coordinator, Brooke Rogers. Eligibility: Per the bylaws, whether or not you pay the suggested dues, you are automatically a member of the Parent Association if you are a parent, guardian or person in parental relation to a child attending Ross Global Academy Charter School. A member is entitled to vote and to run for any position. There will be one vote only for each family unit. The election process and officers' duties are outlined in the Bylaws, accessible via the lefthand sidebar of this website (or see Parent Coordinator Brook Rogers).
