Dancing in the Streets and its partners are throwing a free five-hour block party that celebrates the roots of hip hop as a creative and constructive catalyst for joyous artistic expression. 2:30– 4:30 PM: CIPHER AREA
Cipher: Dance and Open Mic
Brandon Albright and Illstyle and Peace Productions will “warm” the cipher up with some fresh moves and encourage others to participate. Those wishing to participate in the Dance Off and Rhyme Off will have to sign up, this will take place ongoing for the first hour, then the official competition will begin. Three judges will pick the top 2 dances and lyrical performances to advance to the feature performance part of the program. The winner will be picked based on who gets the loudest crowd cheers during the Feature Performance segment.
