New York City FIRST Robotics Competition


This weekend, sixty high school teams showcase their robotic creations and compete for the chance to represent New York City at the FIRST World Championship at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Marching bands, cheer leaders, step teams, and team mascots add to the excitement. Doors open at 8:00 AM; event is 9:00 AM -5:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, 655 W. 34th Street. Head there on Sunday at 10:30 AM to see Governor Eliot Spitzer and at 2 PM to see this year's cream o' the crop.
